Multi-Location Marketing That Works Locally and Scales

We help franchise systems and multi-location brands stay consistent nationally while every location competes in its own local market, with reporting that shows both views.

A multi-location brand competes in many local markets at once. Customers do not search for the brand's head office. They search for the nearest branch, and they judge it by its own listing, reviews, and page. Meanwhile the brand needs consistency: the same offers, visual identity, and legal language everywhere. Most problems in franchise marketing come from the tension between those two needs, and from unclear ownership between corporate and local operators.

We set up a structure that serves both. Corporate controls the brand, templates, and national campaigns. Each location gets an accurate listing, its own page with local content, local ad budget where appropriate, and a review process. Reporting rolls up to the brand and breaks down by location, so underperforming markets are visible early. For franchisors, we also support franchise development marketing, which is a separate audience with its own disclosure rules and longer sales cycle.

Challenges

What makes franchises & multi-location marketing hard

01

Inconsistent location data

Hours, phone numbers, and addresses drift out of date across Google, Apple Maps, and directories. Duplicate and rogue listings created by past staff confuse customers and search engines.

02

Thin, duplicated location pages

Many brands publish identical location pages with only the address swapped. These pages rank poorly and tell local customers nothing about that specific branch.

03

Corporate versus local control

Franchisees want freedom to promote locally, and corporate wants brand safety. Without clear rules and tools, the result is either off-brand advertising or none at all.

04

Locations bidding against each other

Overlapping ad territories cause branches to compete in the same auctions, raising costs for the brand as a whole and creating disputes between neighboring operators.

How we approach it

Listing management at scale

We audit every location's listings, claim and merge duplicates, and manage Google Business Profiles in bulk with correct categories, hours, attributes, and links, with a process for openings, closures, and changes.

Location page framework

We design a template that keeps brand structure fixed and adds local substance: staff, services offered at that branch, parking and directions, local reviews, nearby areas served, and location structured data.

Territory-based ad structure

Search and social campaigns are built per location or market, with geographic boundaries matching franchise territories, shared negative keyword lists, and brand-approved creative that locals can adapt within limits.

Brand controls and playbooks

We produce approved templates for ads, social posts, emails, and print, plus a plain guide for operators covering what they may change, what needs approval, and how to request support.

Rollup and location reporting

Dashboards show leads, calls, reviews, rankings, and spend by location, region, and brand. Comparisons highlight outliers, so strong tactics spread across the system and weak markets get attention.

Questions

Franchises & Multi-Location marketing FAQ

Do you work with the franchisor, the franchisees, or both?

Either, and ideally both. With a franchisor we build the system: templates, listing management, national campaigns, and reporting. With individual franchisees or groups we run local marketing inside the brand's rules. When both are involved, we agree up front who pays for what and who approves what, which prevents most later disputes.

How do you handle franchise development marketing?

Recruiting franchisees is a separate program aimed at investors and operators. It needs its own site section, lead qualification, and nurture content. Franchise sales are regulated, with disclosure documents and restrictions on earnings claims in many jurisdictions, so all recruitment content is reviewed by your franchise counsel before publication. We never publish financial performance claims without that approval.

Can you onboard new locations quickly?

Yes. Once the framework exists, a new location follows a checklist: create and verify listings, publish the location page from the template, set up tracking numbers, launch an opening campaign, and start review requests. Listing verification timing depends on Google, so we begin that step as soon as the address is confirmed.
