Remarketing & Display Ads
We build audience lists from your site, app, and customer data, then run display and video ads that follow up with relevance, sensible frequency, and clear exclusions.
Where this fits in the funnel
Relevant follow-up ads
Visitors who viewed products, started checkout, or opened a quote form see follow-up ads that match what they looked at and prompt them to finish.
Controlled ad frequency
Frequency caps, membership durations, and converter exclusions stop people from being over-served and keep budget away from customers who have already acted.
Cleaner display placements
Placement, topic, and app category exclusions keep your ads away from low-quality inventory where clicks are accidental and conversions are rare.
What Remarketing & Display Ads involves
Most visitors leave a website without enquiring or buying. Remarketing shows ads to those people afterward as they browse other sites, watch YouTube, or use apps, and gives them a reason to return. Done well, it is a polite follow-up. Done badly, it is the same banner shown over and over to someone who already bought. The difference is in how audiences are segmented, capped, and excluded.
We build lists based on behavior: which pages someone viewed, how far they got through checkout or a form, and how recently. Each segment gets its own message and membership duration. We also run prospecting display campaigns where they make sense, with placement controls to keep ads off low-quality sites and apps. Audiences and tags live in your ad accounts and analytics property, so the lists you build stay yours.
Deliverables you can point to
Tag and consent setup
We implement the Google tag and other platform pixels through a tag manager, configure consent mode, and confirm audiences populate in line with privacy requirements in your markets.
Audience list architecture
We define lists by page depth, product category, cart or form abandonment, and recency, with membership durations matched to your typical buying cycle.
GA4 audience building
We create audiences in GA4 using events and conditions, such as engaged sessions or video views, and share them to Google Ads for targeting and exclusion.
Customer Match lists
We upload hashed customer and lead lists where you have consent, to re-engage past buyers, exclude current customers, or act as audience signals for prospecting campaigns.
Dynamic remarketing
For stores, we connect your product feed and add the required event parameters so ads show the exact products each visitor viewed or left in the cart.
Display creative
We produce responsive display assets and sized image ads with clear offers, and rotate creative on a schedule so returning visitors do not see the same ad indefinitely.
Frequency and exclusions
We set frequency caps per campaign, exclude recent converters, and apply placement, mobile app category, and sensitive content exclusions from day one.
View-through aware reporting
We report click-through and view-through conversions separately, so you can see how much remarketing drives action versus appearing before a sale that was coming anyway.
How the work runs
Map the journey
We review your site, funnel steps, and analytics to identify where visitors drop off, which segments are worth following up, and what traffic volume each list can realistically reach.
Install and verify
We set up tags, events, consent mode, and audience definitions, then wait for lists to reach the minimum sizes platforms require before ads can serve to them.
Create the ads
We write and design ads for each segment, such as product viewers, cart abandoners, and past customers, and connect the product feed for dynamic formats where relevant.
Launch with limits
Campaigns launch with frequency caps, converter exclusions, and placement exclusions already in place. Bids start conservative and rise only for segments that show conversions.
Refine and refresh
We review placements, frequency, and segment performance regularly, replace tired creative, adjust membership windows, and report results with click and view-through conversions kept apart.

Remarketing & Display Ads FAQ
How much does remarketing cost?
Pricing starts at $750 /month. Pricing is scoped per project through a custom proposal. It depends on how many platforms and audience segments are involved, whether dynamic product ads and feeds are needed, and how much creative we produce. Media spend goes directly from you to the ad platforms. Remarketing budgets are naturally limited by audience size, so we size the plan to your traffic.
How much website traffic do we need?
Pricing starts at $750 /month. Platforms require a minimum number of active users on a list before ads can serve, and the thresholds differ by network and format. Beyond the technical minimum, small lists simply produce little volume. If your traffic is low, we usually recommend simpler segmentation, longer membership durations, or investing in traffic first. We check list sizes before proposing a structure.
Will the ads annoy people?
They can if nobody manages frequency. We cap how often one person sees your ads, shorten membership for low-intent visitors, exclude people who have already converted, and rotate creative. We also avoid targeting based on sensitive categories, which platform policies restrict anyway. The aim is a few relevant reminders, not constant presence.
How do privacy rules and cookie changes affect remarketing?
Remarketing depends on consent and on identifiers that browsers and regulators increasingly limit. We implement consent mode, respect regional requirements such as GDPR for UK and EU visitors, and rely more on first-party data, including GA4 audiences and consented customer lists. Audiences may be smaller than your raw traffic suggests. We explain what is measurable in your markets at the start.
Do we own the audience lists?
Yes. Tags are installed under your accounts, and the audiences sit in your Google Ads, GA4, and any other ad platform accounts you hold. We manage them through access you grant. Customer lists you provide are uploaded to your own accounts, hashed as the platforms require, and are not reused for anyone else.
