Top-of-page local visibility

A verified, complete profile with accurate job types and service areas makes you eligible to show above standard ads for nearby service searches.

02

Leads, not clicks

You are charged for calls, messages, and bookings that come through the ad, and we monitor lead quality so budget tracks real enquiries.

03

Stronger review profile

A steady review request process raises the rating and review count shown on your ad, which affects both ranking and whether searchers choose you.

What Google Local Services Ads involves

Local Services Ads appear above regular search ads when someone looks for a provider such as a plumber, electrician, lawyer, or cleaner nearby. They work differently from standard Google Ads. You pay per lead rather than per click, there are no keywords to choose, and Google verifies the business before ads can run. Eligible categories and countries are set by Google, so the first step is confirming your business qualifies.

Ranking in this format depends on factors such as proximity to the searcher, review count and rating, how reliably you respond to leads, your business hours, and your bid. We manage all the parts you can influence: complete verification, the right job types and service areas, a review process, bidding, and lead follow-up habits. The Local Services account is created in your name and you keep full access.

What is included

Deliverables you can point to

Eligibility check

We confirm your business category and location are supported by Local Services Ads, and explain what licenses, insurance, and background checks Google will ask for.

Verification support

We guide you through business registration, license, insurance, and background check submissions, track each item's status, and resolve rejections with corrected documents.

Profile setup

We complete your business details, hours, photos, and service descriptions, and align the profile with your Google Business Profile so information and reviews connect correctly.

Job types and areas

We select only the job types you want and the postcodes, cities, or regions you serve, so you do not pay for leads you cannot take.

Bidding and budget

We set your budget and choose between Google's automated lead bidding and a maximum per-lead bid, adjusting both as lead volume and cost per lead change.

Lead review

We review incoming calls and messages, mark lead outcomes in the dashboard, and rate irrelevant leads through Google's feedback tools so invalid charges can be considered for credit.

Review request routine

We set up a simple routine for requesting reviews after completed jobs, using the review link tied to your profile, and monitor rating trends.

Reporting and coordination

Monthly, we report leads, cost per lead, and booked jobs where you share them, and show how these ads work alongside your search campaigns and Business Profile.

Process

How the work runs

Confirm eligibility

We check that Google offers Local Services Ads for your category and country, review your licenses and insurance, and list exactly what you need to gather before applying.

Create and verify

We create the account in your business name, submit verification documents, and follow each check through to approval. Timing here depends on Google and any third-party screening providers.

Configure the profile

We set job types, service areas, hours, budget, and bidding, add photos and business details, and confirm that calls and messages route to someone who will answer.

Manage leads

We monitor lead volume, quality, and cost each week, adjust bids and service areas, flag invalid leads, and coach your team on response habits that affect ranking.

Review and adjust

Monthly, we compare leads against booked work, refine job types, push review collection, and decide whether budget should shift between Local Services Ads and standard search campaigns.

Questions

Google Local Services Ads FAQ

How much do Local Services Ads cost?

Pricing starts at $500 /month. Our management fee is scoped per project through a custom proposal, based on the number of locations, categories, and how much verification support you need. The cost per lead is set by Google and varies by job type and market, and you pay it directly to Google. We can show you Google's own estimates for your category and area during scoping.

Are Local Services Ads available for my business?

Not always. Google offers them only in certain countries and for specific categories, mainly home services and some professional services, and the list changes over time. Availability is broadest in the US, with coverage in the UK and some other markets. We check your exact category and location first. If you are not eligible, we recommend standard search campaigns and Business Profile work instead.

Who owns the Local Services account?

You do. The account, verification records, reviews, and lead history sit under your business's Google login. We manage it through access you grant and can withdraw at any time. We do not place clients inside shared or agency-owned accounts, because verification and reviews are tied to your business and should stay with it.

What happens if we get a bad lead?

Some leads will be irrelevant, such as wrong services, wrong areas, or sales calls. Google provides tools in the lead inbox to rate leads and give feedback, and it may credit leads it judges invalid under its own policies. We review leads regularly, submit that feedback, and tighten job types and service areas to reduce repeat problems. The final decision on credits rests with Google.

How is ranking decided?

Google has said ranking considers your proximity to the searcher, review score and number of reviews, responsiveness to enquiries, business hours, and whether there have been serious or repeated complaints, along with your bid. You cannot buy the top position outright. That is why we put effort into reviews, answer rates, and accurate hours as well as bidding.
